Vinoy Chef Pivar to Outdoor Kitchen Gourmet Market

John Pivar, Executive Chef of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in downtown St. Petersburg for the last 6.5 years, is leaving the hotel business after 25 years. He and his friend, Paul Ruel, are launching the Outdoor Kitchen Gourmet Market at 3917 West Kennedy Blvd in Tampa. The market will feature prime and Angus beef, seafood, and of course, oils and wines.

The new Executive Chef at the Vinoy Hotel is Mark Heimann, formerly Pivar’s sous chef. He plans to give Marchand’s a ore Mediterranean grill feel.
